What does redaction mean?

Is this a visual or permanent redaction?
This tool applies visual redaction by drawing black rectangles over selected areas. The underlying text may still exist in the PDF structure. For highly sensitive documents, consider using a dedicated PDF redaction tool that removes content from the stream entirely.
Can I undo a redaction rectangle?
Yes. Each rectangle can be individually removed before applying. Once you click 'Apply Redactions', a new PDF is generated and the redactions become permanent in that copy.
