Frequently Asked Questions
Is this legally binding?
The signature placeholders created here indicate where signatures should go, but they are not legally binding e-signatures. For legally binding electronic signatures, use a dedicated e-signature service like DocuSign, HelloSign, or Adobe Sign that provides audit trails and cryptographic verification.
How does the actual signing workflow work?
This tool embeds signature placeholder boxes on your PDF. It identifies who needs to sign but does not capture actual signatures. A complete e-sign workflow requires a server to send signing requests, track responses, and apply cryptographic signatures. This tool prepares the document layout for that process.
Can I customize where signatures go?
Currently, signature placeholders are added at the bottom of the last page. For precise placement, download the PDF with placeholders and use a PDF editor to reposition them, or use a dedicated e-sign platform that supports drag-and-drop placement.
